
At the same time, export volumes of fresh blueberries were 18% lower than in the record-breaking 2019. It should also be noted that the downward trend in the price of blueberries, which is unpleasant for Ukrainian exporters – in 2021, the average export price for blueberries was on average 9% lower than in 2020.

These two countries accounted for about 65% of Ukrainian exports in 2021. The third major importer is the Netherlands, which is also a major intermediary. Therefore, it can be stated that almost 70% of Ukrainian blueberry exports were to intermediary countries and only a third to consumer countries.
